Here is a list of questions you should ask before you book your venue. Print it out and take it with you when you visit so you don't forget anything.
- How much does the venue charge
- What's included in the price
- Is the venue insured
- Does the venue have a civil licence
- Does the venue provide catering
- Does the venue provide alcohol
- If the venue doesn't provide catering & alcohol can they recommend a company that does
- Can we bring our own alcohol and is there a corkage charge
- Is there a cake-cutting fee
- Will there be a hosted bar or a cash bar
- Are tables, chairs, linen & cutlery included in the price
- Is there room for a DJ or band and dancing
- Can we put up a marquee
- Can we have fireworks
- Is there accommodation there or near by
- Who is responsible for setting up and tearing down the decorations & tables
- What time will we be allowed in the venue before the wedding starts
- Will the reception have to end at a certain time
- Is there a room where the bride can get ready at the venue
